Where I'm From

By Laura Lomas

A woman is waiting for her brother to pick her up after being released from prison. She is desperate to be reunited with her daughter. But in the car, on the way back, he doesn't say much. He didn't bring her smart clothes. And he doesn't take the right turning either.

Laura Lomas's monologue play Where I'm From was first performed by the author at Nottingham Playhouse in July 2010 as part of Paines Plough's 'Come To Where I'm From' season.
